Video: Metroid: Other M Action Trailer

It's only a few short weeks until we see exactly how Ninja Team has treated our Samus, but from the looks of this trailer, they've done all right by her. In the video above, you can see her showing off some the different moves the game's known for, like the grapple beam, finding hidden areas using the morph ball bombs, and that whole running really fast, charging, and then jumping really high thing. Is there an actual name for that move? I barely figured out how it worked in Super Metroid - I had to watch that stupid bird show me like a dozen times before I realized what it wanted me to do.

Metroid: Other M is out at the end of this month for the Nintendo Wii, and just a few days later everywhere else.

It looks great but I'm a bit concern about the transition between the WiiMote from being sideways to point at the screen.

I remember the Jump being called The Triangle Jump (even the Super Metroid Official Guide from Nintendo Power called it that), but I don't think they officially named it that. Just that Triangle Jump was the name people used for EVERY game that did that back then.

Ninja Gaiden and such. Prime 3 has that Jump and names it too, but I think that is just Wall Jump there.

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
