Ignite Dead Space Free With Pre-Order

Visceral Games already revealed that they were going to produce a prequel to the upcoming Dead Space 2, but now they've announced that Dead Space Ignition will be offered up as a free download for anyone that pre-orders Dead Space 2 at participating retailers in North America. Pre-ordering will get you a single-use download code to get the prequel for free.
"Dead Space fans are hungry for more Necromorph action and we're thrilled that they don't have to wait until January to get their fix. Dead Space Ignition is a great way to jump back into the Dead Space universe while the Visceral development team completes the final stages of Dead Space 2," said Steve Papoutsis, Executive Producer, Dead Space franchise. "Dead Space Ignition will show fans what happens in the hours leading up to the beginning of Dead Space 2 with gameplay that is fast-paced and accessible. It's a fun way to dig deeper into the fiction, while allowing core fans to give Isaac Clarke an edge in Dead Space 2."
As we told you when the game was announced, Dead Space Ignition is what EA is calling "an interactive comic-style story with three unique hacking games." So while you can get it for $5 on the PlayStation Network on October 12 and 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE Marketplace on October 13, it sounds like free is an even better price point for it. Although Ignition does also offer up unlocks for Dead Space 2 if you play through it, including an exclusive Hacker suit. Dead Space 2 is still due out on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on January 25, 2011.

Good luck finding a list of retailers that are supporting this. There's been no info about that at all yet. :(
so can i pre-order it from gamestop, get the code, and then use my five bucks down on something else the next day?
