The characters keep coming for the over-the-top fighting action of Marvel vs Capcom 3, and this is the next-to-last reveal for the on-disc roster. So if the two names here don't match you're most-desireds, then you've still got one more chance to appease the gods of 2D fighting!
First up, we have Akuma on the Street Fighter series. Sometimes an end boss, sometimes a secret character, he's long been a staple of the series and life-or-death rival to mainstay Ryu. He shares the protagonist's love of fighting and becoming stronger, his real power comes from his willingness to engage his 'killing intent' and murder some folks with his fists.
For Marvel's contribution, we have a newcomer to the fighting genre: Taskmaster. First appearing in 1980 in the Avengers comic, he began as a young savant with an ability called "photographic reflexes." Essentially, this villain can copy any move he sees, making him a host of anachronistic abilities. Does this make him this series' Necrid/Seth? Well, the video below shows him making good use of a sword, shield, bow, handgun, and 'Spidey swing,' so I'd say it's a safe bet he's going to become a favorite for those gamers who like to have it every way at once. In more recent Marvel comics, it seemed Taskmaster had learned enough moves that almost no one could best him until Deadpool let loose his full spontaneous insanity.
