Nintendownloads - 1/17/2011

WiiWare releases are often a mixed bag, but this week sees the release of a game that is truly special. Doc Clock: The Toasted Sandwich of Time is a game that's one part Braid and another part Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts. The game has players building cars, planes, rockets, and everything in between to navigate levels. It's a fabulous game, and if you missed it during the massive Steam sale last month then definitely pick it up on WiiWare. But Doc Clock isn't the only WiiWare game released today, as Urbanix joins the Wii shop letting players build cities through Qix-like gameplay. There's also a demo for BIT.TRIP Beat available on WiiWare, which is worth a gander if you've been curious about the BIT.TRIP series or have any interest in music games at all.

The DSi shop this week gets game updates in the areas of both warfare and animal abuse with Glory Days - Tactical Defense and Animal Boxing. If you've been hanging around game stores, you might also recognize that both of those games have appeared at retail, continuing the ongoing trend of retail DS games appearing as DSiWare. Also in the DSi shop this week is The Seller, a card game game about running a business, and Alien Puzzle Adventure, a match-3 puzzle game with 35 levels to play through.

Doc Clock is my personal pick of the batch, though Urbanix actually looks quite good as well. Click after the jump for the full list and descriptions of all of this week's Nintendo download titles.
