Video: Resident Evil: Revelations Features Old-School Survival Horror, Mexican Standoffs, Shirtless Men

...at least, so the E3 trailer and a recent Nintendo World demonstration suggest.
Back in the beginning of December, Wootini posted some images and details from Capcom's new duo of 3DS Resident Evil games. Since then, new details have emerged.
Though well behind the development process of its sister 3DS game, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D (which is largely composed of the Mercenaries missions from RE4 and RE5), Revelations will the first all-original RE game for Nintendo's new handheld. Translating a Famitsu article, andriasang reports that Revelations will feature more of the series' pre-RE4 survival horror elements, including limited ammo, shadowy quarters, and leveraging the 3DS' stereoscopic display to suggest depth to the darkness.
Recent footage from Nintendo World 2011 supports these reports. Taken from a conference including the playable demo, a player controls Jill Valentine through poorly-lit, claustrophobic settings, ultimately (and unsuccessfully) fighting off a shambling monster. It must be said that, for a hand held, the graphics are remarkable. I look forward to seeing them in 3D...though I think gay-favourite Chris Redfield's arms could use a bit of tweaking... They looked a lot better in the Gamecube REmake (but that's for another article).
Take a look at the videos after the jump.

How long until the industry takes some of that stubble and puts it where it belongs? All over his chest and stomach, i mean.
