Rock Band Free Cash
Today, Harmonix and MTV Games added an eight-pack of Johnny Cash songs to the Rock Band Music Store, although despite my misleading headline, they're not free. Offerings from the Man In Black will include:
"Cry, Cry, Cry"
"Don't Take Your Guns To Town"
"Five Feet High and Rising"
"Folsom Prison Blues"
"I Got Stripes"
"I Walk The Line" *
"Tennessee Flat Top Box" *
"The Ballad of Ira Hayes"
As always, songs are $1.99/160 MP/200 Wii Points each, and the "Johnny Cash Pack 01" will run you $13.49/1080 MP/1350 Wii Points. And the two songs with asterisks will feature the Pro Guitar and Pro Bass expansions for $.99 each.
The "free" part of the headline is actually referring to the "Rock Band Free Pack 01" which features nine tunes from Rock Band 2 that are available for absolutely nothing. The tracks, which were some that weren't included when importing RB2 songs into RB3, include:
"Visions" by Abnormality
"Get Clean" by Anarchy Club
"Night Lies" by Bang Camaro
"Shoulder to the Plow" by Breaking Wheel
"Welcome to the Neighborhood" by Libyans
"A Jagged Gorgeous Winter" by The Main Drag
"Conventional Lover" by Speck
"Supreme Girl" by The Sterns
"Rob the Prez-O-Dent" by That Handsome Devil
Honestly, with the sheer number of tunes in my playlist across the three games and all the DLC, I hadn't even noticed anything missing, although I will admit to loving "Conventional Lover" and being glad it's back. And I recall enjoying "Welcome To The Neighborhood," too! Yay for free things anyway!

Yaaaay! A Jagged Gorgeous Winter is one of our favorite Rock Band songs, and we've been waiting impatiently for it to come out. :P
Oh good, I get "Night Lies" back! And the Paul McCartney pack FINALLY hit PS3 this week too, so it's like a late Christmas on Rock Band for me!
