Rodea the Sky Soldier Debut Trailer

Last week Kadokawa Games held a press confefence where they revealed some information about their latest Wii and Nintendo 3DS game Rodea the Sky Soldier, developed by Sonic the Hedgehog and Nights creator Yuji Naka. Today, Famitsu showed off its debut trailer showcasing the game's emphasis on flight.
The game is controlled with the Wii remote. By aiming at the screen you can control where you want the game's protagonist, Rodea, to fly towards. Shaking the Wii remote makes him fly to the location you've chosen, and pressing the A button lets him attack with weapons you pick up such as guns. Enemies can also be homed in and attacked by aiming and pressing the A button. These simple controls are later used alongside special gimmicks and abilities throughout the various levels.
There is no word yet on when the Rodea the Sky Soldier will be released, nor is there any information on its 3DS counterpart. Until then, you can visit the game's website for screenshots and information about the characters and some story about the game. It's in Japanese though. Hit the jump for the trailer.

Yep, definite Skies of Arcadia / Sparkster / Sonic and Shadows of the Colossus vibes here.
Think I'll be getting this for the 3DS, personally. :)
I don't see Skies of Arcadia in it at all. I'm getting more of a Sin and Punishment/Panzer Dragoon vibe from it.
