Video: Bioware Shows Off Dragon Age II - The Exiled Prince DLC

Bioware sent out a reminder this weekend that you only have a scant few hours to preorder the Dragon Age II Signature Edition and get a whole heap of content for free. We've already told you what's in the package - downloadable soundtrack, in-game armory, and bonus playable character and mission - but now they've given us a peek at The Exiled Prince and the new companion, Sebastian Vael.

Adventure alongside Sebastian Vael, an archer of noble birth, as he seeks revenge for the brutal murder of his family. Aid him in his quest, and direct his righteous wrath at your enemies. Sebastian is a full companion character, complete with his own series of side missions. Gain the prince's allegiance as part of The Exiled Prince downloadable pack included in the BioWare Signature Edition, or available separately for $7 or 560 Microsoft Points.

There's not a lot to learn about Sebastian in the brief clip above: slight Scottish brogue, impossibly high cheekbones, piercing blue eyes, forehead possibly botoxed within an inch of its life. Personally I'm hoping that, as far as free DLC characters go, he's more Shale than Zaeed, but I'm sure he'll be a worthy companion regardless. You have until January 11th to preorder the Signature edition from a variety of retailers; after that you'll just have to pay to get everything. If you're still on the fence, you can always preorder on Amazon.com and cancel anytime before it ships if you change your mind. They're also offering free release date delivery, so you'll get it the same day as brick and mortar shoppers for no extra cost.

David Gaider, if you're reading this, drop whatever bi romance option you had planned so far and please please please make Sebastian Vael the same sex option for DA2.

I don't care that he'll only be available through DLC.
Even from his brief appearance in this trailer I'm already loving him.
I love the accent, he's incredibly handsome and there's no way he could be described as a stereotype of a gay or bi character by anyone from what I can tell.

Even if he won't be, though I really hope he will, I'm going to get him in my party automatically ASAP. So far he's my favorite of all the party members I've seen announced.

As someone with a scottish accent, high cheekbones and blue eyes I object to that botox comment!
Several years in the chantry free of late nights, fags and booze does wonders for the complexion.

At least he didn't put her in a pit via chest-kick. "This. Is. Murder!"
