You've been invited out to see the world with two angsty beefcakes, one frosty-haired pretty-boy, a sports junkie, and a capable female soldier who's only allowed to fight because she's sterile. What do you say?
'Let's do launch!'
Gears of War 3 hasn't had much luck actually getting out the door, but fans of Epic's epic will no doubt know that it's just0a matter of polish at this point. After the title was accidentally announced last year amidst a delayed Jimmy Fallon episode, it was not to be true, for one reason or another. As Microsoft put it, they've "done great work thus far readying the title for release ... However, we've elected to move the launch of Gears of War 3 until Fall 2011 to make it the marquee title for the holiday season." A noble goal, for sure! It just stands to reason that they could've decided this sometime earlier, rather than get gamers' hopes up for a spring release.
Maybe it's a question of polish, or they just wanted to give their co-published Bulletstorm some space... or it could even be that everyone's favorite holiday giant is no longer quite as feared. In any case, we brave warriors who want to stand up for the fate of humanity only have to wait until September 20 to do so!
