Here's A Full List Of The Breeds In Nintendogs + Cats

Dogs-and-Cats1.jpg

If you're particular about your fake pooches, you may want to take note, as Nintendo has revealed which breeds will be in each variant of Nintendogs + Cats when it launches alongside the 3DS. Besides the titular dogs for each version (Toy Poodle, French Bulldog, and Golden Retriever), each have 8 additional breeds. Like Pugs? Grab the Golden Retriever version. Do you need a Chihuahua right away? Get the French Bulldog version. If you're into tiny balls of fluff, then the Toy Poodle edition will let you raise a Pomeranian right away. Of course eventually you can unlock all breeds in each version by continuing to play or using street pass, but if there's one you need right away, why put yourself through that trouble?

As for the cats, they don't have quite as much variation, but I'm sure the three kinds they offer will be plenty precious anyway. Basically the whole things sounds like it's just going to destroy your pancreas from cuteness, so you may want to make sure your HMO covers this before buying the game.

The Nintendo 3DS and the game are out March 27th in North America, and a couple of days earlier in Europe. After the break, check out the full list of dog breeds.

Wow, I was going to buy the game because of the cats (I hate dogs) but with such a weak selection I'm not going to bother. I know the dogs are the "star" of the game, but still, huge disappointment.

I agree, the cats are the biggest and most exciting addition to the series and they didn't flesh them out at all. I can only conclude they're saving their ideas and content for another sequel to make more money.
I'll still probably get it... But as a cat lover, it's extremely disappointing.
