BioWare may have dropped the big gay ball over in Mass Effect
where my Shep/Kaidan/Garrus fantasies go unheard but are no strangers to to the swish. In fact the fan favorite RPG developer has been more than inclusive in their other blockbuster titles like Jade Empire and Dragon Age. Gaygamer.net has been all up on Dragon Age's nuts in particular, as you might recall.
Well guess what gaymers? One of the gayest games out there is about to get a little bit gayer.
Florence + The Machine should be no stranger to gay ears, having exploded this past year with their hit single 'The Dog Days Are Over' They and their Grammy nominated album 'Lungs' can be heard just about everywhere from television to radio and now video games as well. As reported today, the gay-favorite band, led by
ethereal ginger goddess/HBIC Florence Welch, will be lending their sound to Dragon Age 2.
From the official Dragon Age 2 website:
BioWare has teamed up with the Grammy Awards' Best New Artist nominee Florence + The Machine for an exclusive re-imagining of "I'm not calling you a liar" that you can only hear in-game in Dragon Age II.The song appears in-game as "I'm Not Calling You A Liar (Dragon Age II: Varric's Theme)". Keep your ears open as you play Dragon Age 2.
No word on whether or not it'll be played over the sex scenes.
The exclusive re-imagining is reportedly only available in-game, so for now us audiophiles will have to hold out for an official release. There's no mention of it in the track listing for Part One of the Dragon Age 2 OST, set for release on March 3rd, 2011, but a part one implies a part two does it not?
And even if some legal silliness bars the song's official release there's no doubt that the internet will get a hold of it anyway.
So keep your ears perked for the ethereal Florence and her Machine when Dragon Age 2 drops March 8th, 2011. (March 11th in the UK)
Here's a little naked Alistair to tide you over until then.
