It must be the classy charm of that top hat or the intricate logic puzzles that keep fans coming back to the series because with over four titles already released for the DS and another one in the works, the Professor Layton series has crossed over the 11 million mark in worldwide shipments. And that isn't even counting shipment numbers for Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle, one of the launch titles for the 3DS in Japan.
In fact, to celebrate the Mask of Mircale's completion, Level-5 will be hosting a completion ceremony in the form of a live webcast on February 24 from 7pm to 9pm JST. The webcast will feature Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino introducing the game and its features. It will also feature talk sessions with the game's voice cast. The first 500 viewers will also receive a free mask charm inspired by the game.
If you're interested, head over to the official site for a link to the Ustream webcast once it launches. Even if you don't speak Japanese, you can still get a glimpse at the game before it even comes out in Japan. Be advised though that if you're in the US, the webcast will start at 5am EST. If you're a die-hard fan, you might want to figure out how you will stay awake long enough to catch it. That perhaps may be a tough conundrum to solve.
