Video: Do You Dare To We Dare?

When I saw this trailer for Ubisoft's upcoming We Dare, I laughed. And after looking at the calendar and realizing it wasn't April 1, I realized that this is a real game coming out for the PlayStation Move and Wii. Watch the video below and then click on the different parental code links that direct you to other mini videos showing you what might happen after an evening of too much foreplay gaming.

According to the trailer, video games can lead to sex! Even orgies for that matter. The game itself seems like a bare-minimum party game and the games the lucky actors are playing seem uninspiring. I mean, if you really wanted to "spice up your life" you could turn any Wii game into a naughty experience by simply placing your Wii remote in a naughty place and playing Wario Ware Smooth Moves, for example. I also don't understand why you would put the Wii remote in your butt and then put your lips all over it a second later.

What I did like about the trailer was the amount of innuendo at the end. Were those girls really making out with each other behind that stained glass? And did that guy in the purple shirt really feel lonely enough that he tried to get a kiss from his attractive friend? Maybe sex does make people do crazy things. And if you add a video game into the mix, you end up with a multiplayer orgy!

We Dare has a PEGI-12 rating, so that means tweens and teenagers will be able to get their hands on the game too--though there are only plans to release it in Europe right now. Hey, at least the Wii remotes in the video are wearing Wii jackets. Subconsciously promoting safe-sex, perhaps? I think so.

Wow lots of Bots today and with very poor English.

All I get from this is "buy and your GF may entertain being a lesbian for a short time or at least you can get her in that position, whether she is comfortable with it or not, through social pressure."

Not saying there is some hidden agenda or that I went in looking for something but that just really stood out for me.

Wow, Ubisoft actually blocked this video to US users. Had to use a European proxy to watch.

This game looks awful. But sometimes awful works at a party. I was at a game night with about a dozen friends last night, all gay men. The host brought out "Truth or Lies" for the 360, which he'd bought for 10 bucks. I grimaced, having read some reviews of the game.

But we had a blast. Easily 10 bucks worth of fun. Maybe not 20 or 30, but considering how terrible the game is (completely meaningless "lie detection", questions that go from grossout to somber and back without any sense of pacing whatsoever, nonsense "nicknames" assigned for no apparent reason, etc.), we were still laughing our asses off for most of it.

The "up to 8 players" thing helped, and I don't know if "We Dare" has that, but if passing around a mic and saying stuff like "Wait, what am I doing with my fist, now?" could make a room full of guys howl, then I'm thinking that giving someone a Wiimote tramp stamp and then spanking him to make a Mii-clone jump around the screen maniacally could cause a few cases of "ROFLPMP IRL".

I’d have to permit with you one this subject. Which is not something I typically do! I love reading a post that will make people think. Also, thanks for allowing me to speak my mind!
