It was a pretty big week in Narnia. We had some comings and goings, and some of those little moments that just make living in this little town so nice. But beyond that (and another visit from that hippie, Pascal), it was a particularly big week for me!
I was thrilled to find Pippy waiting for me outside my house on my birthday. As my BFF in Narnia, she said that she would naturally be the one to give me my present, a big birthday cake she'd baked herself. (Or so she claims...) I'm really glad to know that Pippy is aware that she's my favorite. If I wasn't gay, I'd totally want to marry her. Oh, and if she wasn't a rabbit, of course!
I also got a birthday letter from my mom that included 5,000 bells as a present, and then a whole bunch of letters from my neighbors wishing me a happy birthday. This one from Octavian was my favorite, because it wasn't mushy, and was even a little snarky. Go Octavian!
I'm not sure when the last time I spoke to Pierce was, but I guess it couldn't have been too recently, because he would've mentioned his plans to move away. Also, if I'd spoken to him more recently, I'm guessing he wouldn't have gotten bored or felt so ignored that he felt he needed to leave town. Oh well. He was okay, but he's no Octavian. Go Octavian!
Hm. On Valentine's Day, guess who sent me a box of chocolates? Pippy. Looks like maybe she feels the same way about me that I do about her. Uh oh. I'm going to have to figure out a way to let her down easy. Maybe if I tell Daisy about my crush on Derwin, it'll get back around to Pippy somehow, and she'll realize that we can never be more than BFF's. Oh Diary, what am I going to do?!
There was some snow this week, but one evening, the sky was not only crystal clear, but there was a meteor shower out of nowhere! I was just walking around and I heard the swooshing sound, so I looked up to take in the show. And the constellation I'd made was also clearly visible, so it made for a pretty site. Aw, sometimes I love this place.
Towards the end of the week, Pierce's replacement moved into town, and she looks really familiar. I don't think Pate ever lived in this Narnia, but I feel like she may have lived in the last town I called home. Also, I totally thought she was a he at first, and the fact that Pate moved into the empty lot right next to Derwin's place made me think that Narnia might be home to a couple of queer ducks! Oh well! Let's see how long she lasts!
