Last Guardian Demo Bundled With ICO/SOTC Collection?

I've read conflicting opinions on the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus bundle. Some, like myself, are excited at the prospect of playing these games with high resolution visuals and a vastly improved framerate. I never had the chance to play Ico, but Shadow of the Colossus was an incredibly stunning visual feast (not to mention a fantastic game overall), and naturally I jump at the opportunity to revisit the world. The contrary opinion is that this is just another way for Sony to cash in after the demise of the PS3's backwards compatibility, essentially forcing consumers who own the original to buy the game again in order to play it on the current-gen incarnation of the Playstation. Casting aside my cynicism for an ever-so-brief moment, I'm fine with re-releases so long as they offer some sort of benefit, particularly when they may (let me stress, may) offer gamers a little glimpse into the future -- in this case, The Last Guardian. 1up quotes Team Ico's Fumito Ueda as saying that "We're considering it, but we haven't come to a conclusion," so it's too early to get excited. Still, it would make a great deal of sense to use the re-release to garner interest in their upcoming title, and at the very least one can hope for some sort of related content. The Last Guardian is scheduled to be release Q4 2011, so until then we'll keep you posted on the news as it rolls in, and be sure to check out my forthcoming article, in which I explain why I'm prepping my favorite crying pillow in anticipation of the game's release.
