PS3s Demo Mortal Kombat First

mkdemo.jpg

I've already got an appointment with Warner Bros. Interactive at PAX East to get my hands on some of their upcoming games, including the newest installment in the Mortal Kombat series. But if you've got a PlayStation 3, you'll be playing it before me, because a demo of the game will be downloadable starting on March 8. Now, I've got a PS3, so why am I waiting until March 11? Well, because it's only going to be available for PlayStation Plus members on March 8. Other PS3 gamers will have to wait until March 15.

Of course, that's still better than Xbox 360 owners, who will have to wait until an as-yet-unspecified date when it will "later be available for download on Xbox LIVE." The Mortal Kombat demo includes four playable characters: Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Johnny Cage and Mileena, with all Fatalities and X-Ray Attacks included. Plus, you'll have two environments — The Pit and The Living Forest — in which to sample both single player and one-on-one versus modes. Plus, the PS3 demo will also have full stereoscopic 3D support, if you're one of those millionaires who owns a 3D TV! (No, I'm not jealous, why do you ask?)
