This Game Also Came Out This Week.

I know you're probably busy training your Oshawotts and making your male Hawkes as hot as possible and then installing nudity mods. but if you get a chance and happen to be a sports fan you might want to check out this week's other big release. And by other, I mean the only release worth mentioning: Ubisoft's Petz Bunnyz Bunch for the DS 2K Sports' Major League Baseball 2K11.

Now unless you're a baseball or baseball game fan I'm sure you're asking, "Why should I take any interest in this game?"

Brian Wilson and Brian Wilson's beard; that's why.

Brian Wilson is a bit of a celebrity in the world of baseball, where he closes for the San Francisco Giants. Playing for the gayest city in the world he happens to have quite the gay following. A certified ninja known for his bizarre fashion choices and eccentric personality almost as much as his athletic ability, this man helped his team bring the World Series trophy back to the city by the bay.

Transgaytion: He's the Lady Gaga for straight men. But also gay men.

And his beard is most magnificent. He began growing it as the Giants worked their way towards the World Series, and the true extent of its magical abilities are still unknown.Dragon Age 2's Hawke might have a pretty sweet beard, but under the shadow of Mr. Wilson's it's little more than peach fuzz. Don't feel bad though, comparisons between Brian Wilson's beard and other, lesser, beards is like a comparison between The Beatles and The Monkees.

Nothing is sweeter than it, after all.

It's a smart move, grabbing World Champions Brian Wilson and his beard to do promotion for their game. Baseball fans love them, gays love them, and after all what else in this world is powerful enough to compete with Pokemon Black and White and Dragon Age 2?

Nothing. I answered that for you.

What else besides Brian Wilson is in this game you ask? As if you needed anything else, the newest edition of MLB features the Dynamic Player Rating System. The PC, PS3, and 360 versions of the game will utilize the DPRS which regularly updates a player's in-game stats with his real world stats, effectively making digital Brian Wilson or whoever hit and pitch at the same level as his real world counterpart, bringing the virtual world and the real world that much closer together.

The Wii version features motion controls!

2K Sports has painstakingly worked to make MLB 2K11 as close to the real thing as possible. It's the little details that will make this a must buy for any baseball fan, and 2K isn't missing a one. Here's a video where they talk about such detail work, including a bit about their cover boy who isn't Brian Wilson for some reason.

But more importantly:

2K Sports is also holding the same contest they did for last year's edition, which boasts that the first player to pitch a perfect game on the 360 or PS3 versions will get a chance to win $1,000,000. If you ask me they should just keep their money and begin development on the next iteration of the game, while changing the name to Brian Wilson's Beard 2K12.

And now back to your regularly scheduled gay programming, coming up: something about Dragon Age or Pokemon probably. Maybe both!
