Video: Ezio Is Coming For His Old Friend In AC: Brotherhood DLC
If your time with Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is starting to look like it's worn out its welcome, then keep the welcome mat out just a minute more... The third update & first paid DLC has been unleashed this week, and it's a bit of a doozy for both singleplayer and multiplayer fans.
Titled "The Da Vinci Disappearance," this pack has Ezio piecing together clues from his old friend's workshop after the brilliant and productive Leonardo da Vinci is snatched away by Templar forces with no taste for art. The trailer shows Ezio working with a young man--one who "moves in the same circles" as Leonardo, perhaps--to track down the inventor and bring him back safely.
While we don't get to see the two new areas this pack opens up, the multiplayer portion is full of Spanish flair, with a multiplayer map set in Grenada and four new classes to play: the Dama Rossa, the Knight, the Marquis, and the Pariah. Two new modes will also keep things fresh: for watchful players, the Escort mode has two teams protecting their VIP from assassination; for players who just want some bloodshed, the new Assassinate mode is an eight-way free-for-all where stealth is optional.
As someone who enjoyed every part of AC: Brotherhood but perhaps felt that our friend Da Vinci could've had some more screen time, I'm actually excited to pay for some more missions to flesh out Ezio's story. At least, as long as I get a hug in the bargain somewhere!

Assassin's Creed has always seemed to go with the theory that Leonardo was gay, and I love how it plays out in this DLC.
