Video: New Skyward Sword Trailer; Iwata & Miyamoto Plan To Celebrate Link's 25th
If you've been following our main source of news - the GayGamer Twitter feed, at right - then you've already kept up with some of the exciting Nintendo developments out of GDC 2011. Now, through the magic of the internet, you can see the newly-unveiled trailer of Zelda: Skyward Sword from home! Marvel at the new enemies who require judicious swordplay to defeat! Utter 'wow' at the unique puzzles that can only be solved with MotionPlus! Swoon in jealousy at the deep eyeshadow of the mysterious gilded androgyne near the end! What could it all mean?!
And while your head is swimming with possibilities, here's another enigma to chew on: Iwata announced that Nintendo would be doing something special for the 25th Anniversary of Zelda as a franchise, and that Miyamoto is busy "working on a plan that will allow all Zelda lovers to celebrate together."
By way of comparison, last year's celebration for Mario included a limited-edition All-Stars game with collectible packaging, a one-off red Wii and DSi XL with free Mario games, and a host of parties both in Japan and the U.S. Will the future hold a golden Wii or 3DS for our rare delight? We'll have to wait and see!

Awesome trailer / tease [for its final showing at E3]!
The enemies look more interesting than ever before - and challenging [like that four armed Stalfos Knight]!
I also wonder who that Gollum / Chai / Setzer lookalike at the end was [a Right Hand of the new villain perhaps?].
As for Miyamto's Zelda Anniversary plans, I don't see what more he could do to be honest, seeing as this year is gonna have OoT 3D + LA 3DS eshop + SS!
Right handed Link makes me angry. I don't suppose there will be a Classic Controller option for those of us that love Zelda games but hate motion controls with a fiery passion, will there?
I wish, Shin, but it doesn't sound like it, considering MotionPlus is a big part of the game.
"Working on a plan that will allow all Zelda lovers to celebrate together?" Woohoo, Hyrule Online!
Well, it never hurts to dream. Except when it does.
