Hold on to your hat, because this week was a doozy. There's a whole lot to cover, so I'm not going to waste any more time. Let's just get to it!
So first up, the new neighbor moved into town, and she's a giant purple gorilla. You'd think her name would be Magilla, but that's silly because he was a boy. This is a girl, named Violet. She seems nice enough, but I just don't want to get on her bad side because she looks like she could crush me like a bug...
I was wandering around town and stopped into Gracie Grace to see if anything struck my eye. Nothing did, besides Gracie herself hanging out in the back of her store! Haven't run into her in a long while! Of course, I don't go to the big city as much anymore. Anyhoo, I thought I'd have her evaluate my fashion sense for a laugh because all I was wearing was my New Year's T-shirt. (Which I've been wearing since New Year's, so it's probably pretty ripe!) Naturally, she tore me a new one for not accessorizing properly... or at all!
This week was Festivale, the gayest celebration that hits Narnia all year! Pavé was dancing up a storm to the salsa music in front of Town Hall, and confetti rained from the sky. Well, from... somewhere. I don't really know where. Hm. Let's just say it's magic. Yeah, magic!
So in order to get a reward from Pavé, you had to play guessing games with the other townsfolk. Winning would get you candy, but losing meant that they would take some of the candy you already had. Pavé asks for a specific color, and the greedy little bird wants three of them! Anyway, I had some luck the first time around playing coin flip games, but as I went around for a second try, I kept getting the "guess which hand I'm holding candy in" game, and I kept losing. And even when you win that one, they just give you a random color of candy. At least with the coin flip game, you get to choose the color!
I did manage to get three pieces of red candy to give Pavé, and he wolfed them right down. Guess we know now where he gets all that energy from. Although the crash the next day must be a bitch!
Anyway, I got a reward, which was the Pavé wall. Not a big fan of the entire Pavé series, to be honest with you. It's a little boring. You wouldn't think it was, what with Pavé himself being such a total freak. But it is.
After all the excitement, things went back to normal, which was nice. Well, except for the normality of people trying to move! I wasn't about to let Octavian go, so I was glad he let me try to talk him out of it. Not like it seemed that he really wanted to go in the first place, though. I told him not to move, and he immediately said moving was too much of a hassle anyway, so he'd stay. Yay! I'd miss my favorite Mr. Crankypants!
