Atlus Game Sale This Monday On Amazon.com

atlus_sale.jpg

Atlus sent this flier out to their faithful last night sans comment, but it's not too hard to figure out they're talking about a sale this Monday on Amazon.com. What's not clear is how the sale will be implemented; it could be a gold box thing, where each game only gets a special price for an hour or so, or they could just drop the prices on a bunch of games for 24 hours. The games shown in the image are:

  • 3D Dot Game Heroes - PS3
  • Knights in the Nightmare - PSP
  • Radiant Historia - DS
  • Persona 3 Portable - PSP
  • Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey - DS
  • Persona 4 - PS2
  • Demon's Souls - PS3
  • Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble - PSP
  • Trauma Team - Wii

My guess is it's possible that other games will be included with the sale, so take a look on Monday if you've been waiting on anything from the company. I have what I need from the list above, but there are a few other games I'd snap up at a discount. I actually just bought Radiant Historia last week at full price so, you know, hooray. Still, it's nice that they're giving folks a chance to catch up on any titles they may have missed at a discount, and it's not unheard of for Atlus games to go long out of print and then get annoyingly expensive in aftermarket sales. Is there anything you'd like to click the 'buy' button for this time?

I bought Radiant Historia recently too, but hey, this sort of thing happens. Whacanyadoooo.

You know, I've been noticing how Atlus games haven't been getting as stupidly expensive in the aftermarket as they used to. Is it just me being more careful with my money, or are others noticing that as well?

Is Radiant Historia a good game? And SMT Strange Journey?

I really did not care for 3D Dot Game Heroes or Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. I put quite a few hours into each before realizing I just wasn't having any fun playing them and set them aside to sell. There may be some good games available in this sale, but that's just my 2 cents on those ones. I also watched my brother play Demon's Souls and in all honesty, it did not look like a pleasant experience either =P

@gamescook,

I've noticed that too, although some of their older DS games have creeped up in price, which is why I grabbed RH this week when people started grumbling about shortages. I think it's probably a combination of regular re-printings and knowing their audience, pressing enough copies to keep buyers happy. They've also had a much higher profile since Demon's Souls was a sleeper hit for the PS3, so they probably want to those new fans to stick around by keeping more games in stock.
