Well, I'm still putting the pieces back together after last week's devastating loss. Narnia still isn't the same. It feels different... empty, somehow.
Anyway, I had to deal with a creeper, met a celebrity, and found out we've got another deserter!
Octavian surprised me with some gossip about our town shopkeep, Tom Nook. Apparently, in his youth, he was a bit of a hooligan! Octavian wouldn't go into detail, but snarked that it was a good thing that Tommy had that mask on permanently! (Being a raccoon, you see) I'd guess that's how he funded his store, but we all know that it was my efforts that let him expand from his little shack to the conglomerate he runs now!
While in the city to check Redd's black market shop for any new stuff (no luck), I was stunned to see an actual celebrity! I have to admit I was a little star struck. I don't know if you've seen Animal Crossing: The Movie, (if you haven't, you should it's fabulous! You can find it subtitled on YouTube, even!) Margie, here, plays Sally, who is like, one of the major stars of the movie. She's the best friend of the main character, and dreams of being a fashion designer. I thought about asking for an autograph, but didn't want to seem like a crazy fan! OMG, could you imagine if she ever moved into my town? I think I would die!
Since it was Easter (or Bunny Day as they call it here), it was time for Zipper T. Bunny's annual creepy appearance in town. Seriously, I think this guy drives one of those windowless vans you hear about, although I've never seen it. He must park it in the City and ride in on the bus. Anyway, I dug up an egg and found a foil, so I traded it for a egg lamp. Then I realized that I'm pretty sure I already have all of the egg furniture series, so I decided to ignore the buried eggs and Zipper T. Bunny and go about my business!
Rhonda came up to me towards the end of the week and told me that she was thinking Narnia was getting stale and it was time for a fresh start. She asked me what I thought, and I suggested she stick around. She said she appreciated my trying, but admitted she thinks her mind is already made up. I guess we'll just have to wait until next week to see. I wish she'd asked me for advice on her hair and makeup, because I would've told her to use a brush instead of a trowel. What too bitchy? Whatever. It's my diary, so who cares? Nobody else reads it!
