Chucky Being Reborn On Download Services
The trend of 80s and 90s movies being repurposed as downloadable games for modern consoles has racked up another franchise with Tikgames announcing it has started work on a game based on the Chucky movies (also known as the Child's Play series). For the uninitiated, Chucky is talking doll (there were all kinds of yammering dolls sold to kids in the 80s) who is imbued with the soul of a dying serial killer, then goes on a killing spree that lasted through several sequels.
Tikgames' new title will give players control over the maniacal little doll, who has to use stealth an ingenuity to murder people (after all, he's a weak little toy a fraction of the mass of his prey). It seems that the developers are trying to tap in to the dark humour that the film series relied on more and more as the sequels added up. Alex Tikhman, co-founder of Tikgames promises a "highly-entertaining, interactive, downright gory (experience)" for fans of the series, one which is slated to be released this fall for PC, PS3 and the 360.

This sounds really good on paper. Who wouldn't want to play as Chucky? Having to pretend to stand still because you are a doll and then SURPRISE! Jump at your victim with a knife. I just hope this game isn't shit.
