Video: Hitman Is Back In Business
You can't keep a good assassin down, it would seem, as IO Interactive has announced Hitman Absolution, the fifth game in the popular franchise. Agent 47 is back, and this time he's on the run, betrayed by those he trusted. Naturally, he finds himself at the center of a giant conspiracy full of corrupt people who will most likely require assassinating.
"For the first time we are taking Agent 47 on a personal journey which allows us to explore other parts of the HitmanĀ® fantasy," said Tore Blystad, game director, IO Interactive. "This is both a familiar and yet significantly different experience from other Hitman games; something our silent assassins will relish, as will all those new to the Hitman world."
I tried one of the Hitman games years ago... the second one, I think... and didn't get the fuss. Too much stealth before killing anyone, and if you screwed up one little thing, the whole mission had to be restarted. Still, with the right gameplay tweaks, I could be very interested in this one. Unfortunately, it's looking like NaviFairy is going to have the Squeenix appointment at E3, where they're going to be showing it off. Hitman Absolution is not yet rated (if it gets anything other than an M I'll be surprised) or scheduled for a release date, but it will be coming out for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC!
