The classic B-movie on-rails light-gun shooter, House of the Dead, is being updated for the current generation of advanced tech with SEGA's announcement of The House of the Dead: OVERKILL - Extended Cut, which will be in full HD with 3D support and PlayStation Move compatibility on the PS3!
"The House of the Dead: OVERKILL - Extended Cut for the PlayStation®3 system will send players to the shrieking mad heart of mutant mayhem," said Gary Knight of SEGA. "This time we went further, faster and bloodier than before. We extended everything, even the title."
All seven stages of the original OVERKILL will be included, re-mastered for the PS3, and two brand new scenarios will be added. There's also PlayStation Trophies, new game modes and other new content. I rather enjoyed House of the Dead on the Wii with those controls, so more accurate shooting with the Move controller should be even better. And if I was rich and could afford a 3D TV, I'd be so psyched for that, too!
The House of the Dead: OVERKILL - Extended Cut is due out on October 25 in the US and October 28 in Europe. Just in time for Halloween!
