Well, here we are: another weekend without PSN. These are tough times, hopefully you're managing to keep it together dreaming of the bounty of riches that will be showered upon users once the system is back up. Sony's still mostly mum on details, but Sony Europe did spill a few new tidbits about what the service will be giving users. PS3 gamers will get two PS3 games from a list of five, and PSP users will get two games from a list of four. Those don't sound like comprehensive lists, especially considering that dedicated Sony fans will probably own the games they want already. It's also not clear if they're talking about full downloadable versions of retail games, or Playstation Network titles. As well, Sony Europe needs a bit more time to detail their identity protection services, as each country has different laws and policies regarding identity theft.
We'll have to wait to hear about the specific games, and whether or not other territories will follow suit. There's almost no way a list of 5 games is going to make everyone happy, but until they're revealed there's no reason to get worked up about it. Maybe we'll all be pleasantly surprised?
