SoulCalibur Returns!
Soul Calibur was one of my absolute favorite games to play way back on my Dreamcast, although I have to admit that I never continued to follow the series onto newer platforms. Perhaps that will change with Namco Bandai's release of Soul Calibur V on the Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2012.
"The SoulCalibur series continues to be one of Namco Bandai Games' most cherished franchises," said Carlson Choi, vice president of marketing Namco Bandai Games America. "SoulCalibur V will continue to advance the series' legacy of white-knuckled weapon-based combat, gorgeous graphics and groundbreaking features that will amaze newcomers and long-time fans alike."
SoulCalibur V will pick up 17 years after the events of SoulCalibur IV with some returning warriors and new heroes, including the central character, Patroklos, the hot son of Sophitia. (And after all the guys got to drool over her for so long, it's nice to have our own turn!) Details on gameplay are sparse this early in the game, but Namco Bandai is promising expanded online and character creation modes, and obviously it'll have super-pretty next-gen graphics. I'm just assuming, as I haven't seen any actual gameplay screenshots... You'll just have to enjoy the Patroklos concept art for now!

I hope they go back to the origins. I think the SoulCalibur saga was the only fighting game with a decent story that when down the toilet specially in the last two titles (yes, I'm talking to you text based endings and static sequences!).
The name is "Patroklos"?

So long as they un-break Talim I'm happy. Little skank was a beast in SC2, then sucked major portions of arse in 3, and only got marginally better in 4. FIX PLOX :[

Sophitia and that sister of hers were all about fanservice, with the short skirts and all. Her son should be equally exposed.
The only flesh you can see of him is his freakin' face.
Oh and now that they're going all next generation, they better add Bangoo. He looked really hot when an older (teenage?) version of him was shown in one of Rock's endings.
I agree, he should be fighting with armored briefs or jock strap of some sort. (both boys i mean, lol)
They're going to have to try a LOT harder than they did on SCIV. SCIII was the last game to do it for me.
