Wii Gets Cheap

Well, one of the sure signs of a game company readying a new release is the discount of the previous version, so it should come as no surprise that Nintendo has just announced a price drop for the Nintendo Wii. And not only did they drop $50 off the price, they're even packing in a game and accessory! Starting on May 15, for $149.99, the six people out there who don't already own a Wii in their home can buy the console in either black or white with Mario Kart Wii and a matching Wii Wheel accessory packed in! That replaces Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, so you're not getting more than one game in the package. (Oh, and the new black Wii Wheel will also be available separately for $9.99.)
Also on May 15, Nintendo is launching its own Greatest Hits line of discount titles that they're calling Nintendo Selects. The four titles launching this line are The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Mario Super Sluggers and Wii Sports, all of which will now carry a suggested retail price of $19.99. That's right, Wii Sports will now be available as a separate game purchase. In case you don't already have it, or would just like to have it in a proper game case!
