Zumba 2: Electric Boogaloo!

I only know one of my friends who has Zumba Fitness, but he seems to like it, and I guess a lot of other people must agree because Majesco has just announced that Zumba Fitness 2 is coming to the Wii this holiday season. Just in time to work off all your holiday meals!
"We've seen an overwhelming demand for the next iteration of the franchise and I can promise you that Zumba Fitness 2's new and improved features will challenge Zumba enthusiasts and entice new followers to join the party," said Jesse Sutton, Chief Executive Officer, Majesco. "The Zumba Fitness franchise of video games connects the exhilarating Zumba dance workouts loved by millions with uniquely interactive console platforms that are accessible and fun for consumers of all ages."
There's new dance styles like Bellydance, Latin Pop and Pasadoble, and you can customize your workout with your own playlists. There's five new locations to shake your groove thing in, and Zumba instructors to guide you through your routines.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of games like this on the Wii, as all you're doing is waving the Wiimote around. It's much better on the Kinect, where it can actually track your entire body and you can't just cheat with your other body parts. But Zumba Fitness 2 is also scheduled to be released for "another-to-be announced platform in early 2012," which I would assume to be the Xbox 360 Kinect. (Though I suppose it could also be the PlayStation Move...)

I'd Zumba with him :P
I see you've done your research woot!
Waving the wiimote? or securing the wiimote in a belt...as it's measuring your hip movements...what with that being one of the most important aspects.
As for playstation move...the first one is so yeah I suppose they just might.
Console agnostic my ass!
Sorry, I never played the Wii version, only the Kinect one. But still, even if it is measuring your hip swinging, I'd still prefer the accuracy of the Kinect, which tracks everything. That said, the Wii version might be better than say, Just Dance, which is kind of crap. (And I can say that with authority, having actually played it!) It's called an opinion. They're like you-know-whats... everyone's got one! ;-)
