The Toronto GayGamers Are Marching In Pride

It's great to see that some of our readers are helping build their own community. Congratulations to the Toronto GayGamers group (every one of whose meetings I have shamefully missed) not only for being awesome, not only for marching in next week's million-strong Toronto Pride Parade, but also for getting themselves in the news! Awesome work guys. From the article:
The group started in 2007, when Toronto visitors to the game website GayGamer.net decided to meet-up in person at Toronto Island. Eventually, the group evolved into a meet-up to play video games but, while the name may suggest otherwise, it isn't only for queer game enthusiasts. Rather, the emphasis is on providing a queer-positive safe space, and gamers from all backgrounds are welcome.
I know some of the people who run the group, and it couldn't be in better hands. Read more about them at the Torontoist.

In my defense, I usually work on the days the meetings are held. I almost made one of them, but it turned out to be my mother-in-law's birthday....
It's okay Hal :) And thanks for posting about us. All are welcome to join us for the march for Toronto Pride. The more the merrier :)
And for future events you should totally suggest a Saturday for to do it on so you can come on out, lol :D
Very awesome. Congrats, guys. :D
So awesome! I had no idea this group existed! I'd like to join in, and do wish I could've helped out and marched in the parade. Will try to do so next year!!
