Warner Bros. Is Throwing A Key Party At Comic-Con
If you've ever been to a convention like E3, PAX or Comic-Con, you know that hotels give out specially-branded keycards for your room. But this year, for San Diego Comic-Con, Warner Bros. is making their keycard a little extra special.
Not only will it get you into your room, but it will also get you into a special event where you will be able to play the upcoming The Lord of the Rings: War in the North months before its official release. The event will be held at 5th Ave. and J St. in the heart of San Diego's Gaslamp District on Saturday, July 23 at 8pm (local time, I would assume!).
Starting on Wednesday, July 20, you can text WITN to 82257 or log on to their website for more details on the event. I played this game at PAX East, and it was pretty impressive. So if you're a Lord of the Rings fan, you might want to check it out. Well, if you're in San Diego for Comic-Con, anyway!
Oh, and also, Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing is providing 40,000 keys across 36 participating hotels, but they're also promoting new TV series Alcatraz and Person of Interest, the DVD release of Smallville: The Complete Series, and the Web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. So if you're interested, you're going to have to make sure you get the Lord of the Rings key that contains instructions on how to RSVP for the special event. So be sweet to your concierge!
