Honestly, there's not much to say about this week in Narnia, since I wasn't there for most of it. You see, I had to go to a big city called Los Angeles to do some work, and I couldn't get away to visit my town while I was there. So while I left Narnia in the somewhat-capable hands of my partner, I wasn't sure exactly what I was going to come home to at the end of the week...
Before I left, though, I did get a chance to meet our town's newest resident, Chevre. She didn't remember me, either, although I remember her! I mean, not that well. I don't recall her sticking around very long in the last town I lived in, so we'll see how long she lasts here in Narnia!
I'm glad to know my parents aren't living lives that are any more exciting than my own! Seriously, though, it's sweet to know that they're still in love even after all of these years. I'm not sure I'd want to share my umbrella! (I guess if it was only sprinkling, it would be okay. If it was like, pouring, then probably not. I'd need it all for myself!)
Here, you can see the result of not staying on top of your town maintenance. The regular flowers can go a couple days without watering, but the hybrids are seriously fragile creatures. If you don't water it as soon as it wilts a little, it's gone. Just write it a good-bye letter. Because there's no getting it back. This here used to be a whole cluster of pink tulips that filled the entire area. Now there's big gaping holes where there used to be pretty flowers. It makes me sad, but at the same time, it gives me a goal to keep watering them and to keep my town perfect so more hybrids will grow back in the same place. So it's something to look forward to, I guess.
I guess I'm just not going to get any stability in Narnia anytime soon, because now Derwin is making noise about leaving town. I asked him not to go, and he said he didn't think he could get out of it, but added that he would try. That's all I can ask. Just try. I don't know who's forcing him to move, but he should stand up for himself. I mean, are you a man or a mouse? Okay, well, I guess we know he's actually a duck. But you get my point!
