2K Reveals When You Can Re-Enter The Darkness
Have you been itching to step back into the shoes of Jackie Estacado and once more wield the destructive powers of the Darkness? Well, then now you'll only have to wait another seven months. 2K Games announced today that The Darkness II will be hitting stores on February 7, 2012, in North America and February 10, 2012, internationally.
Also, 2K Games will be hosting a panel called "Spreading The Darkness: From Comic Book to Video Games and Entertainment" to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the comic. The panel will feature co-creator Marc Silvestri as well as developers and the in-game voice of The Darkness, Mike Patton. 2K will also have playable demo kiosks at the Top Cow booth on the show floor.
I'm intrigued by the new gameplay mechanic they're calling Quad-Wielding, which will let you slash, grab and throw objects and enemies with two Demon Arms while firing two weapons at the same time. I can barely handle two weapons... four? Yikes!
