Speedo Sponsors The Michael Phelps Swimming Game
Well, it's a natural fit. 505 Games and Speedo have announced that the Speedo brand will appear on all swimwear and caps in-game and environments in the upcoming Kinect for Xbox 360 game Michael Phelps: Push the Limit. In fact, the goal of the game is to reach the Annual Games, and the competition will be held in the specially-built in-game environment called the Speedo Stadium.
"Speedo is synonymous with swimming and the inclusion of the Speedo brand in-game brings further realism to the game. As one of Michael Phelps' long standing partners, we are delighted to have them as part of this," commented Ian Howe, President, 505 Games, North America.
Well, like I said, it's a natural fit for Speedo to sponsor a swimming game, and while having it on all the suits, caps and environments might be a little bit overkill, at least it makes sense and the logos won't look totally out of place. And before you ask, no writing this article was not simply an excuse to run a photo of Michael Phelps in a Speedo. (Okay, it was. Who am I trying to kid? I know my audience!)
