The SingStore Is Still Updating!

So when the PlayStation Network went down, the SingStore updates stopped coming, and I kept checking back on the PlayStation Blog to see if they'd come back yet, and never saw anything. So just out of curiosity last weekend, I popped SingStar into my PS3 and checked out the store for myself. I ended up having to go through the entire alphabet so I wouldn't miss anything from one of my favorites, and ended up spending a lot more than I'd intended! So it seems that the SingStore is continuing to update with new music every couple weeks, but for whatever reason, the PlayStation Blog is no longer posting them. But I found another source of info, and can happily report that this week, the SingStore added another bunch of songs, and they are:

"The Roller" by Beady Eye
"Rivers Of Babylon" by Boney M.
"Mary's Prayer" by Danny Wilson
"Jump In My Car" by David Hasselhoff
"Everlasting Love" by Jamie Cullum
"Living In A Box" by Living In A Box
"Hangin Tough" by New Kids On The Block
"Disco 2000" by Pulp
"Love Ain't Here Anymore" by Take That
"Rat In Mi Kitchen" by UB40

There's also dance add-ons for Chris Brown's "With You", New Kids' "Hangin Tough" and OutKast's "Hey Ya!" It's not the best batch of tunes this week, but some cheesy New Kids is always welcome, and I might end up getting "Living In A Box" just because it's awesomely ridiculous. (Sorry but The Hoff is too ridiculous even for me!)

After the jump, you'll find the lists of the last few updates in case you also haven't been keeping up!

Well, if you have both, there's really no reason not to have both of the games. I actually did an article a while back comparing the two series, and at the time, gameplay mechanics gave Lips the edge. I just enjoyed playing it more. It was easier to sing correctly. Oh, and the rap system works WAY better than SingStar's, which is irrevocably broken. However, since it appears that Lips is now dead as a series (I can't get anyone to confirm or deny), SingStar is my karaoke game of choice, simply because there's new DLC on a reasonably regular basis. (But I'd still get Lips just because there are a bunch of games, lots of songs, and it's more fun to play)
