At their E3 press conference this year, Nintendo had a live orchestra playing Zelda themes and announced that as part of the 25th anniversary of the Legend of Zelda series, they would be organizing a concert tour. And now they're kicking off the Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony Concert on October 21 at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles, CA. The show will include songs from the popular series hand-picked by Nintendo composer Koji Kondo and his team and performed by a 70-piece orchestra.
"The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony Concert Tour brings one of the video game industry's most exciting and enduring franchises to the concert hall and presents what we feel is the definitive concert experience for the series," said executive producer Jason Michael Paul. "It's an event that fans and music aficionados won't want to miss."
Tickets for the LA show will start at $35 and will be available starting on August 1 at this link here. A full tour will launch in 2012, and I can only hope that they play in New York City and I can snag some tickets! Anyone who sees the LA show, let me know how it is!
