So apparently, pre-ordering Assassin's Creed: Revelations at GameStop will give you a free upgrade to the Signature Edition, which includes an extended single player gameplay mission with an unlockable weapon, 3 weapon capacity upgrades (crossbow, bomb and gun), an exclusive multiplayer character (the Ottoman Jester), the animated short film Assassin's Creed: Embers, and the in-game soundtrack. That's a whole lot of extra for just pre-ordering a game! And according to the Assassin's Creed website, there's also going to be a Best Buy edition, but aside from including the multiplayer character "The Crusader," there are no more details yet as to what that version will net you.
I'm curious about the Embers short film. The animation has an interesting stylized look to it, but it also makes it look a lot less rich and detailed than the cinemas in the Assassin's Creed games. Of course, what it looks like is purely secondary to the story, which I can only hope is good!
