Video: Compare PS2 And PS3 Ico/SotC
Despite being brilliant in any number of ways, both Ico and Shadow of the Colossus at times felt like games reaching out for a technological future that wasn't quite there yet. Is the future now? You be the judge in the above video, comparing the visuals of the original games with the PS3 update, due next month. While it's not a complete graphical overhaul (and neither game really needed one), the improvements are pretty clear: stable framerates, reduced pop-in, clearer textures. I don't know if I've even been happier to re-buy two games I already own.

I'm sorry, but SotC still looks pretty amazing even for a PS2 game, though Ico was definitely helped out.
Do we know if Ico is the PAL version with Co-op? That would be pretty frickin' sweet :D.
Meh...
Maybe it's just because I play games mainly for the story, but those graphical improvements aren't incentive enough for me to buy games I already own.
At least I can justify my RE4 and Persona 3 repurchases with additional content.
Better graphics just aren't that important to me. Certainly not at that level. I mean there is a defenite obvious improvement, but it's not like the original games were of 8-bit graphical quality.
It just doesn't seem like that much of an improvement.
I have heard that it is the PAL version, so the co-op second play through and the light Saber should be in it.
I missed out on these the first time round so REALLY looking forward to playing them. Can't wait to try out the 3d too...gonna be epic.
