Video: Wootini's Video Podcast #28

Well, obviously the main topic this week is going to be the price drop on the Nintendo 3DS. Will it be enough to boost sales of the handheld? Probably not. On the other hand, there's a couple of new games I started playing, and they're both good. Bastion is just as good as NaviFairy said it was, but I've actually become addicted to inFAMOUS!

I am also one of the few in that raggedy old boat called the H.M.S-Didn't-own-many-of-the-welcome-back-program-games. I am a relatively new PS3 owner, so I didn't own any of those free titles.

The first of the titles I started to play was inFAMOUS. I too hated that every bad guy seemed to be armed with a sniper scope and thermal night vision goggles. And all I was armed with was a wonky controlled lightning bolt and a faulty bad-guy-radar.

I continued to play and learned to love the game. I beat it as the hero first. I am now half way through the evil storyline. I must say, being evil is so much easier. Those pesky/needy/whiny civilians only get in the way of my saving the world. The weapons for the evil side are much better as well.

Wootini, I highly recommend (not now, but in the future) getting the sequel. I am currently borrowing inFAMOUS 2 and it is far & away better than the first. As all sequels should be. Graphics are superb. The weapons are extremely fun. Since I beat the first one as a hero, when I started a new game on the sequel, it asked if I wanted to import a good/evil save file from the first one. I imported the good save file and I began the sequel with many benefits. Including extra health, bonus XP & other little perks.

Now that I am halfway-ish through the sequel, I find it harder to go back to finish the first one as evil. The sequel is just so good, it makes inFAMOUS 1 feel like a previous generation console game. Like playing Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Sunshine.

Apologies for the lengthy write-up. All I came here to say was... wootini, you should buy/borrow/rent the sequel if you are enjoying the first one. Although, the only downside (to me) about the sequel is the user generated side missions. There are so many that clutter up the map, which makes it difficult to find the heroic based side missions, which are also green markers. Also, a lot of the user generated side missions are poorly made. Some I played, you don't even do anything. You just watch as a domino effect plays out. For now (until I beat the game) I disable all user generated content.

Okay. Now I'd done. ::drops mic::
