Ace Combat Assaults The 3DS

If you're looking for a flight simulator game a little more on the realistic side than Star Fox 64 3D, then you might be interested in Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy, which Namco Bandai revealed today will be going on sale for the Nintendo 3DS on November 15 in North America.

"The three dimensional screen of the Nintendo 3DS really captures the immediate and visceral thrills of aerial combat and ACE COMBAT ASSAUL HORIZON LEGACY is the perfect showcase for that," said Carlson Choi, Vice President of Marketing, NAMCO BANDAI Games America. "Every barrel roll, fiery explosion and heat-seeking missile will bring players closer to the action than ever before."

Well, we'll be the judge of that, but I have to say the graphics in the screenshots below look pretty solid. And using the 3DS touch screen for targeting and weapons selection is always helpful. Personally, I'm more a fan of the over-the-top cartoony stuff, so Ace Combat has never been up my alley. But I'm always happy to see more solid 3DS software hit the market!
