Video: Dead Island Goes All "Friday The 13th" On Your Hide
If there's one thing that can be said against modern action games, it's the lack of chainsaws. Dead Island has sought to rectify that (to a limited degree), featuring not only a chainsaw, but one belonging to the infamous Jason Voorhees. Yes, everyone's favorite murderous psychopath in a hockey mask makes an appearance in one of Dead Island's Easter eggs, doing his thing with a vengeance - and by "doing his thing," I of course mean slaughtering innocents with a machete. Should you challenge Mr. Voorhees to do battle in the sprawling, forest landscape and emerge victorious, you will find yourself not only in possession of his trademark machete, but the rather handy chainsaw.
Also of interest, on the Easter egg front, is the bodies of two of the characters from the beautifully heartbreaking trailer. While it's nothing tremendously special - truth be told, I would have preferred that they excluded the bit - it does lay to rest speculation that the family's scenario would serve as a side quest.
So for those who have yet to play Dead Island, or those simply looking for a couple tidbits you might have missed, there you go. Sadly I have yet to play the game - it is near the top of my "must play" list - but god willing, I'll be ankle deep in the legion undead before too long.

I think you mean Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Jason Voorhees used a Machete. Looks really cool though!
