Okay, to follow up on their release of plot details of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Nintendo also released a bunch of screenshots and also some art. The character you see to the right of this text is one of the bosses. And yes, he's just as fabulous in the game as he is in this rendering.
Because I had already played the game at last year's E3 and got a handle on the Wii MotionPlus controls, I almost didn't bother playing it again this year, but when I heard there was additional gameplay, I gave it a go. So I was able to try a flying level (you can see Link riding on the back of a giant bird in some of the screens) and the boss fight against Miss Fabulosity here. I'd heard that the boss was difficult, but I found it rather easy. That might be because I absolutely love the swordplay in the Wii Zelda games. And now that the MotionPlus is being utilized, it's even more accurate.
I have to say that I'm also a fan of the art style in Skyward Sword. It manages to feel stylized like Wind Waker (my favorite) but slightly more realistic. And instead of cel shading, it looks a little more painterly. Although everyone looks rather... delicate, if you know what I mean. Well, except for Zelda, who looks like she can handle herself. But Link looks prettier than he ever has. Could Skyward Sword be in the running for Gay Game of the Year?
