Hard Reset Demo Available On Steam
Let me just say, as a rather non-controversial statement, that I am an utter fiend for all things cyberpunk. The aesthetic is lovely, the familiar, yet distorted atmosphere is engrossing, and for those of us who are one panic attack away from moving to a compound on the outskirts of civilization, the dystopian atmosphere is utterly alluring.
There are two kinds of people in this world: Those who would make Adam Jensen their man-bride, and liars.
I have to confess that Hard Reset has largely flown under my radar. One of our writers recently alerted me to its presence, and after taking a long look at my paltry system's capabilities, realized that it would lay waste to my machine with untold vengeance. Still, for those looking for some PC-exclusive FPS goodness - I'm one of those pretentious weasels that can't stand playing FPS titles with anything but a keyboard and mouse - give the game a whirl. For those who haven't yet heard of Hard Reset, the game's Steam page gives a rather succinct overview its plot:
In the only remaining human city of Bezoar, Major Fletcher, an Army Combat Veteran and soldier of the CLN, is dragged into a conflict between two of mankind's greatest enemies. He is to discover that nothing is what it seems to be. Hard Reset is an action-packed, single-player shooter for the PC.
As the trailer suggests, there are robots, guns, and still more robots. Should the game strike your fancy, pre-ordering through Steam will give you a 10% discount off the $30 price tag. Hard Reset will be released September 13th for PC

A friend of mine put it this way, and I agree with him:
"At first the demo made me feel 'Meh'
...then I didn't have time to feel 'meh' because of the gigantic horde of f**king killer robots trying to f**k my sh*t up, and suddenly I was enjoying myself. :)"
