Leaked Avengers Game Trailer: What Could Have Been

In the wee hours of the morning, a leaked trailer for a canceled game adaptation of the upcoming Avengers film leaked online. Unlike the masterpiece mediocre tie-ins from Sega, this game was being developed by one of THQ's many now-defunct internal studios. It's a shame, really, because what you're about to see looks pretty cool.
Note: This game trailer may reveal some stuff about the upcoming movie, so don't watch if you don't want to be spoiled.

I knew a guy here in Brisbane, Australia who was working on this game.
Such a shame because this is something I'd love to play.
Reminds me of Dead Island for some reason (that could totally be because I'm playing that at the moment) but still looks good. Also why must Dub-Step shit on everything that's even remotely good?
*sigh*
As great as this game looked, I'm getting sick and tired of Marvel making the Skrulls into an easy go-to villain. I really wish they'd let them get some redemption as a race and maybe villainise the Kree a bit (who have done just as much bad stuff as the Skrulls, but are cosied up to by the heroes).
Oh and if anyone needed convinsing that the movies take place in an Ultimate universe facsimile. I give you the Triskelion.
That makes me sad, this is the first time i have seen anyone attempt a Marvel game in FPS format. Even though i wouldn't want to pay the $59.99 new price for this game, I would want to pick it up and play it at some point just to see what it's like. Plus it looks like they were going with a co-op mode so someone could fill the roles of all the Avengers, that would have been pretty cool, Marvel Borderlands ^_^
It's funny I would of thought they would go with the "Chitauri" version of the Skrulls from the Ultimates, since this version of the Avengers is more The Ultimates they anything else.
However the game may have little to do with the movies plot, which will echo strongly of the Invaders arc from Ultimates 2 from what I've seen and read (and by casting).
Hm. I don't know how I feel about a first-person perspective. If I'm going to be playing a super hero, I think I'd rather see them on-screen. Just the hands seems weird. But maybe that's just me!
@Wootini I agree with you. I'm also not a fan of first person melee games.
