EA Says Thanks For Buying Battlefield 3 With a Contest
Today, DICE, the EA studio responsible for Battlefield 3, announced its Battlefield 3 "Says Thanks" sweepstakes. If you're a big fan of the recently-released game, you really won't have to do much to enter, because all you need to do is play at some point between Friday, November 11 at 12:01am GMT and Sunday, November 13 at 11:59pm GMT to earn a chance to win some prizes. And if you're a big fan, you were probably already planning on playing this weekend anyway!
The grand prize trip is an actual trip to Stockholm, Sweden, for you and three squadmates for three nights where you'll actually visit DICE's studio and meet the team behind the game. Second prize is five grand in cold, hard cash, and third is a brand new game system with the full Battlefield catalog of games. For full details, you can read the actual rules here.
And DICE would also like you to know that they're prepping for the release of the first expansion pack, Back to Karkand, which will feature four remastered maps (Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula), five new dog tags, five new Achievements/trophies, three new vehicles (DPV, BTR-90, F-35B STOVL jet fighter), 10 iconic Battlefield weapons and a new "persistence system" where you complete assignments to earn rewards. Back to Karkand was included in the Limited Edition of Battlefield 3, but if you didn't pony up the extra bucks, you can get it seperately for $14.99/1200 MP.
