Gallery: Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
I know a lot of people who are looking forward to Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, but I have to confess that I am not one of them. I'm not a big fighting game fan to begin with, and I only bought MvC3 in the first place because of the fun fan service. So to find out that there's a new version of the game that costs $20 less and features more characters, stages, and re-balanced gameplay is kind of sticking in my craw. It's clearly a much better game than the first one, and I kind of wish I'd waited. But if you're one of the many who have already set aside your $40, here's some recently released screenshots from Capcom featuring some of the new characters (including Rocket Raccoon, of all people!) and shots of Galactus Mode to whet your appetite!

I'd be much more interested in this (and would have bought the original version) if they hadn't screwed up the gameplay in it. The new button layout (Weak/Mid/Fierce/Launch instead of Light/Hard punch, Light/Hard kick and two call-in buttons) ruined the gameplay compared to MvC2, if you ask me. MvC3 is fun to watch because at least then I can pretend they didn't screw up the button layout.
All that being said, Rocket Raccoon is ALMOST enough to get me to buy this. Almost.
I see this as the game that should have been released in the first place.
