Regular readers of this site know my feelings on Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. I feel like this is the game that should have been released in the first place, so even at a lower price point, I'm not going to buy it. But damn if these alternate costumes aren't slowly chipping away at my resolve. My inner fanboy can't resist some of these! Come on — Storm with her fierce mohawk look? Who wouldn't want to play as that? (Also, can somebody explain Elvis MODOK?) No, I must be strong. Maybe Capcom will do an Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3EX or something that includes all the alternate costumes from the start so I don't have to pay extra.
Anyway, the massive list of costume packs and pricing details are after the jump because there's a lot of them. You know what else is after the jump? A metric crapton of screenshots of the costumes. You're welcome.
Okay, so each pack is $4.00 on PSN or 320 MP on Xbox LIVE, and will include an alternate costume for at least four costumes. The first pack to be released will be The Rising Dead Pack, which includes alternate looks for Frank West, Nemesis, Phoenix and Ghost Rider. That will be out on November 22. However, there is a Value Pack that will include all 48 DLC costumes from the original MvC 3 costume DLC pack as well as all 11 of the Ulitimate MvC 3 DLC packs listed here for just $20 on PSN and 1600 MP on Xbox LIVE. The catch? To save all that money, you have to wait until March 6, 2012. Sorry!

The Elvis Modoks were a one page gag in Warren Ellis' Nextwave Agents of HATE. The series that also asked where dragons get their giant purple underpants from.
Ok.. they dress up Ammy as Talbain but won't even grace the series with his presence? GAH!
Those Zero, Frank west, jill and Ammy costumes are so messed up, It;s like as if they at capcom like messing with people. I'm glad they didn't make a venom look alike costume for spidey.
Paying real money for alternate costumes? What happened to just unlocking them through game progression?
What's sad is that all these costumes are already on the disk. So it'll be months before you can even attempt to access content that you already bought.
