Go Gaga In Dance Central 2

notbey4.jpg

I'm still working on five-starring all the songs in Dance Central 2 on Medium, so I haven't really played much of the DLC or songs from Dance Central 1 that I already have in my library. So I probably wouldn't have been excited about the newly available DLC for the game even if it wasn't two of the weaker tracks off the new Lady Gaga album.

Available starting today, you can get "Marry The Night" and "Edge of Glory" to dance your little heart out. Actually, some sweet choreography could make even a song you don't like into something awesome, so who knows. Maybe I will pick these up after all... (Although I still wish they'd just go back and do some of her older, better songs. Or better yet, don't waste time on Gaga at all... I know, blasphemy, right? Whatever. Deal.)

Somebody get gramps his juice box, he's getting cranky at the noise the kids listen to these days! Maybe a Lawrence Welk dance pack would lively up them bones?

"Don't wate time on Gaga"? You go too far sir! >:O Though I agree, those two wouldn't of been my first picks for DC DLC. Not that I think her older songs are better than the new ones. Why didn't they pick Judas?!

Yeah, Judas would have been fine. And I think that if the choreography is fun, Edge of Glory could be okay. But I doubt I'll ever buy Marry the Night.

And forget Gaga... I want more Kylie to dance to!

Taste in music is like taste in food. Hard to judge someone for not liking the taste of strawberries, just because you love them.

I think she deserves some level of respect though in terms of her artistry (classically trained, writes her own music and lyrics, her performance art) even if people don't like the music itself. Plus, from a LGBT point of view, she deserves a boatload of respect for all of the support she's shown for us.

It's a dance game. Lady Gaga is the Queen Of Pop. Her new album is mostly dance tracks. Makes perfect sense to put her music in the game. :)

In my opinion, it's a brilliant album. I love Marry The Night, it's got a great beat and a catchy hook.

Kylie is a pop star, Gaga's a pop icon. Tony Bennett is right, she's the new Elvis/Michael Jackson.

What's with all the bot spam comments?

Has anybody ever found out why the Just Dance series of games has never had a Lady Gaga track?

Is it because they named the game after one of her songs that was a big hit at the time? I thought perhaps she signed a deal to be exclusive to Dance Central, but then Ubisoft did release a game called "Gold's Gym Dance Workout" - which features "Just Dance."

I've never seen any discussion on this subject. As a big fan of the JD games I'd love to see some Gaga included.

Exactly. Couldn't have said it better myself.
