Master The Sword A Day Early

Okay, after seeing the huge blowout launch event that Nintendo gave for Super Mario 3D Land, I was worried they were going to forget that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is coming out for the Wii just a week later. Well, I shouldn't have worried. And while this launch event will be nowhere near as ridiculously impressive as the Mario one, there should still be some fun to be had!

On Saturday, November 19, from 9am to 1pm EST, the Nintendo World Store will be opening its doors to Zelda fans eager to try and buy the new game in the series. That's right, you'll be able to buy Skyward Sword a day before everyone else in the country. At least if you live near the Nintendo World Store in New York City!

While supplies last, you'll get a limited-edition poster with purchase, and there will also be trivia contests, prize giveaways and demos (in case you didn't already know you wanted the game, I guess!), but I'm psyched to see the Legend of Zelda historical showcase to see what they've included. Oh, and the big deal is that they're going to unveil a Master Sword replica that you can get your picture taken with. I'm going to guess that it's lodged in the pedestal, but you can still do your best Link pulling it out impression for the camera, even if it won't budge. Although, if you pull the Master Sword from the stone, are you automatically crowned king of Nintendo? Because that might be worth a go!

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
