Everyone likes sidescrolling beat'em-ups with Castlevania-inspired bosses and puzzle elements sprinkled throughout, right? Right. And that's why Bloodrayne: Betrayal going on sale on from now until December 13th should make anyone that didn't already pick up this gem very happy. Unfortunately, this sale offer only extends to the PSN, so 360 players will have to pay full price to get their fill of blood and mammary glands.
Don't be fooled by the yawn-inducing Bloodrayne legacy; this game focuses on all the brutal, head splitting, blood splattering combat and acrobatic exploration without the annoying cameras and forcing players to pretend to care about the story (it's still there, but the game recognizes that that's not why you're here). The graphics are hypnotically beautiful and smooth, the controls suit the game's demands extremely well, and the difficulty reminds us that we used to have to be good at games if we wanted to see the end credits. Honestly, is there anything else I can do to convince you to take advantage of this sale? 'Cause I'll do it.
